Testing on Clamp Connectors of Power Circuit

Type Tests of Clamp Connectors

The tests are performed as per IS: 5561. Type tests are performed on 3 samples of same item

  1. Tensile Test
  2. Resistance Measurement
  3. Temperature Rise Test
  4. Short Time Current Test
  5. Dimensional Check
  6. Galvanizing Test as where applicable.

Routine Tests on Clamp Connectors

  1. Visual Inspection
  2. Dimensional check

Acceptance Tests on Clamp Connectors as per IS: 5561

The number of samples for acceptance tests will be 0.5% (or as the nearest whole number) of the items offered for inspection from each batch.

  1. Tensile test
  2. Resistance test
  3. Dimensional check
  4. Galvanizing test where applicable
